Violinist Rachel Baron Pine brings passion and virtuosity to Florence Price’s lyrical violin concerto, while Bernstein’s electrifying Symphonic Dances from West Side Story and Gershwin’s exuberant An American in Paris fill the hall with irresistible rhythm and color. Opening the program is Korngold’s thrilling Sea Hawk Suite, music of cinematic sweep and dazzling orchestral flair.
